Paul René Tamburro has a PhD in Anthropology focusing on Algonquian cultures and languages. Along with his wife Andrea, he is the co-owner of Sunrise Drum Consulting and Sunrise Drum Art.
Silver and copper artwork is part of Paul René Tamburro’s Eastern Woodland Native Tradition. Although rare, siver chasers & repoussérs are the main methods Paul René uses for his unique metal work.
He creates hand-wrought heirloom quality silver and copper, wood carving, stone carving, and other traditional artwork of the Northeastern Native American and Aboriginal Cultures of Woodland Canada.
Since the mid 1980's, Sunrise drum Consulting has provided assistance to individuals, organizations, and communities in the areas of arts, social work, curriculum development, and educational programs. Paul-René combines traditional lecture and demonstration with audience participation. He has taught every age from preschool through senior citizens.
Paul René "has combined many life experiences in the hopes of continuing an expression of First Nations / Indigenous arts and cultures of the Eastern Turtle Island Peoples."
